The Seven Ages of Woman
King Avenue United Methodist Church
299 King Ave, Columbus OH 43201
Saturday May 16, 7 pm
Sunday May 17, 3 pm
Great songs and narration illustrating the ‘seven ages of woman’, based on a recently discovered manuscript by Wilma Shakespeare that bears a remarkable resemblance to the ‘seven ages of man' speech in William Shakespeare’s play As you Like It. Could Wilma have written her version before the more famous William? Come and find out! Repertoire includes a variety of music, including arrangements of songs by Bobby McFerrin and Carole King, original compositions by Eric Whitacre and Gwyneth Walker, folk songs and Broadway numbers. Something for everyone, and all ages of both woman and man welcome.
Featuring Lisa Cravens-Brown and Marielle Brinkman as William Shakespeare’s little known predecessor, Wilma Shakespeare, and her assistant.
